BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Hamilton is a central California native who represents businesses throughout California involved in
farming, energy, real estate, technology, lending, manufacturing, brewing and distilling, and a long list of
service-based businesses. He has also represented a number of non-profit organizations that are vital to Kern County.

Mr. Hamilton has a strong background in tax law and specializes in helping businesses and their owners
navigate complex legal and tax issues clients that arise in formation, operation, sale, acquisition or
merger. His broad transactional experience allows him to guide clients through a myriad of issues that
can be encountered in the operation or ownership of a business. He thrives on solving complex
problems. The combination of his strong tax background and extensive experience in estate planning
allow him to help clients develop and implement sensible and functional business succession and estate plans involving gift and estate tax issues. Mr. Hamilton is also experienced in handling tax controversies that arise in business or estate planning.

Mr. Hamilton began in his legal career in Bakersfield in 2007, and since then, he has become a trusted
advisor to Kern County residents, businesses, and non-profit organizations alike. Prior to joining
Guerrero Mears, LLP, was a partner with one of the largest full-service business firms in Kern County and
was one of its senior transactional attorneys. In moving to Guerrero Mears, LLP, Mr. Hamilton now
focuses his practice on business transactional and estate planning matters and providing the high level
of service that his clients deserve.

Mr. Hamilton has taken an active role in Kern County and has served on the board of directors for the
Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra (2014 – 2022), including a term as chair of the board, Big Brothers Big
Sisters of America, Kern Citizens for Sustainable Government, Kern Economic Development Corporation,
and Teen Court of Kern County. Mr. Hamilton is currently a member of the board of the Bakersfield
Symphony Orchestra Endowment Foundation.
